Backflow Repair

The backflow preventer assemblies have internal parts that allow water to flow by opening and closing. A valve's parts can become damaged or worn over time, depending on its usage. This can result in failure of the valve.

Backflow assembly problems are typically resolved by installing new rubber parts inside the assembly. If the valve meets compliance standards, it is certified once the repair is complete.

In the repair of backflow assemblies, we only use OEM manufacturer parts, acquired from a reliable wholesaler. Some of the most popular backflow prevention devices and their parts come from Wilkins, Febco, Watts, Ames, Conbranco, FloMatic, among others.

According to most government regulations, local authorities and the state of California, it  is required that backflow assemblies that contain lead be replaced with a lead-free assembly when they fail.

You will be provided with an estimate for replacement if your jurisdiction requires replacement instead of attempting repairs. If the device can be repaired in your jurisdiction, we will attempt the repair and if it is successful, will provide a form documenting the parts used and the test results.

Within 3-5 days of testing, the water purveyor receives the original report as confirmation of compliance or failure. Sadly, some devices can't be repaired, so you will need to replace them even after trying to repair them. In the case of older assemblies, you will be recommended to replace them when needed.

Your backflow test report forms will enable us to prepare a written proposal that includes any recommendations necessary for the work that needs to be performed.
